£70,000-a-week Arsenal man considering leaving the Emirates in January
Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy is ready to review his future at the Emirates in January, according to the Telegraph.
The full-back joined the Gunners from Newcastle United in the summer
of 2014 for a fee of £12 million but has lost his place in the starting
line-up to Hector Bellerin.
His lack of appearances has led to his exclusion from the French national for the next round of fixtures against Armenia and Denmark.
His lack of appearances has led to his exclusion from the French national for the next round of fixtures against Armenia and Denmark.
Debuchy considered leaving the Emirates over the summer but decided to remain at the club and fight for his place.
Having been France's starting right-back during the World Cup, it is a sign of the times for the defender that he has been dropped in favour of Bacary Sagna and Christophe Jallet.
The 30-year-old has been limited to three appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season and has hardly covered himself in glory when given the opportunity.
His performance in the 2-1 Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb was the perfect example of someone low on confidence and his positioning for Josip Pivaric's opening goal was woeful.
It seems Bellerin will only continue to strengthen his hold on the full-back spot as he continues to mature and it may be time for the French international to call an end to his short Gunners career.
For the good of his international hopes, there may be no other choice.

Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy will reportedly consider his future
at the Emirates when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 30-year-old, who signed for the Gunners from Newcastle United last
year, has fallen behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order at Arsenal.
Due to his lack of first-team football, Debuchy was also left out of the
France squad for upcoming friendlies against Armenia and Denmark.
According to the Daily Mail, the full-back will consider his options in
January as he fears that he will not be selected for next summer's
European Championships in his homeland.
Debuchy has previously admitted that he thought about leaving Arsenal in
the summer.
